Sheffield Wednesday boss Darren Moore is suffering from pneumonia and blood clots on his lungs after contracting Covid-19.

Moore missed three games following a positive test result and an enforced period of isolation before returning to the training ground on Monday.

He was on the touchline as the Owls were beaten 2-0 by Swansea at Hillsborough on Tuesday but felt unwell after the match.

Darren Moore could miss the rest of the season as he is suffering having contracted Covid-19

'I have developed pneumonia as a result of COVID-19, with blood clots on the lungs and extreme discomfort,' said 46-year-old Moore, in a statement released by the club on Thursday night.
