It is a cliche to say the Championship promotion race is settled on the finest of margins but the January signing of Conor Hourihane might just swing it in Swansea’s favour.
After arriving on loan from Aston Villa, the midfielder scored a vital equaliser to salvage a point against fellow promotion hopefuls Brentford on Wednesday. And he excelled again yesterday with a goal and a hand in two more as Swansea beat Rotherham 3-1.
Hourihane opened the scoring, Matt Grimes added a second and Jay Fulton put the game to bed late on after Rotherham flirted with a potential comeback when Freddie Ladapo pulled one back.
