Everton manager Ronald Koeman has told Sky Sports that a deal to bring Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson to Goodison Park is "close."
The Merseysiders, who have made a number of summer signings, have been linked with a move for the Iceland international throughout the transfer window.
Earlier this month, Swansea manager Paul Clement confirmed that his club were holding talks with another side about the possible sale of Sigurdsson.
Reports have also said Everton have had two offers for the player rejected.
Swansea are reported to be holding out for £50 million and Koeman said: "We are close, we have to wait.
