Swansea striker Oli McBurnie has seen his proposed deadline day loan to Barnsley fall through.
The signing was announced last Thursday with the belief from both the Tykes and Swansea that the deal had been completed and McBurnie would be playing at Oakwell for the 2017-18 season.
But the EFL rejected the transfer saying the documents were not completed in time. The Scotland U21 international tweeted: 'I haven't got a clue what's happened but it is what it is.
'Back to Swansea now to crack on and do everything I can to help them this season!
