Nottingham Forest are keen to re-sign defender Kieron Freeman but face competition from Championship rivals Swansea and Huddersfield.
Wales right-back Freeman is a free agent after leaving Sheffield United at the end of the season.
And the 28 year-old is already the subject of significant interest from the second tier, including the club where he began his career, Forest.
Freeman moved to Derby in 2012 from Forest, where he came through the ranks, and then onto Sheffield United in 2015, becoming a key figure in the Blades’ rise to the Premier League during his time at Bramall Lane.
