Leeds United have agreed to pay bitter rivals Manchester United £25million plus up to £5m in add-on fees for Wales winger Daniel James.
The lightning-quick 23-year-old, who has made 50 appearances for United, almost moved to Elland Road two years ago from Swansea before the deal collapsed late on.
Marcelo Bielsa's side are closing in on a permanent deal after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford, which has reduced James' prospects of playing more minutes.
The 23-year-old has been used sparingly by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and, along with the return of Ronaldo, the £73million move for Jadon Sancho pushes him down the pecking order with three years left to run on his deal in Manchester.
