Swansea City have acted quickly in naming Bob Bradley's successor, hiring Englishman Paul Clement just seven days after dismissing the American. Although the hiring has been questioned by some, the move shows intelligence and bravery on the part of a Swansea board who have looked bereft of either lately.
It would have been easy for Swansea to follow the obvious path and employ a relegation fire-fighter, but Tony Pulis is already employed at West Brom and Crystal Palace beat the Swans to Sam Allardyce. Of course, Allardyce would never have worked in Swansea; very few of the players fit the style the new Palace boss favours.
