Swansea beat Southampton 2-1 to chalk up consecutive wins for only the first time all season, with new signings again figuring prominently in the victory.
Positives
Swansea actually showed less composure and discipline than had been on show during the memorable 3-2 away victory over Liverpool, and yet still won. The game was a ragged affair, with plenty for referee Roger East to do -- exactly the kind of disjointed, rough-and-tumble midweek match the team typically lose. For once, Swansea had the tenacity to take all three points, and should now feel very positive about their survival chances.
