Bob Bradley did his best to stay positive. As he stood outside Swansea’s dressing room, engaging in small talk, he didn’t want to think about two squandered points.

His players, though, were different. One by one the trudged to their team bus, hoods pulled over their head after Seamus Coleman’s late header had pulled the rug from under their feet.

There was no escaping the fact this was a huge moment. Swansea had produced their best performance of the season to date but all they had succeeded in doing was dropping to the bottom of the table.
