Francesco Guidolin targets cup success with Swansea City as experienced Italian looks to repeat 1997 glory with Vicenza

Swansea manager Francesco Guidolin wants to savour the magic of cup football again after being a winner in his native Italy.

Guidolin has his first taste of an English cup competition when Swansea head to Peterborough in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.

But the experienced Guidolin says he has an affinity with cup football having guided Vicenza to Coppa Italia glory in 1997 - the provincial club's first-ever domestic trophy.

'We won the Coppa Italia and for a little team this is fantastic,' said Guidolin.
