Fernando Llorente shows his class as Swansea thrash Sunderland 3-0

After last Saturday's 5-0 humiliation at Spurs, something had to change. Thankfully, just about everything did as a much improved Swansea chalked up a sorely needed 3-0 home win versus Sunderland.

Positives

This game marked a return to the Swansea of old. After three games on the bounce with an unfamiliar defensive 4-3-3, the Swans started in their favoured 4-2-3-1 -- with a recognised striker for once -- and played aggressively without the ball. The team hunted in packs, closed down constantly and made a second effort to attack loose balls.

It worked.

Where Bob Bradley had asked too much of individual players in a zonal system recently, Saturday's Swans were a swarm of white in every area of the field.
