Every Premier League club ranked by their greatest season: from worst to best achievement

The Cherries clinched a place among English football's elite for the first time in 2015, just five years after playing in the fourth tier.

Palace have never won a major trophy, losing two FA Cup finals to Manchester United, in 1990 and 2016. The 1990 trip to Wembley came during a mini-golden period for the Eagles, and in 1990/91 they finished in their highest ever position, third behind only 1990 champions Liverpool and 1991 title winners Arsenal. Palace also claimed a minor piece of silverware that season in the shape of the now defunct ZDS Cup, beating Everton 4-1 in a Wembley final.
