Ronald Koeman has revealed Gylfi Sigurdsson has had his medical at Everton — with a £45m move from Swansea City expected to be completed imminently.
The Icelandic star has been linked with the Merseyside club all summer and they now have their man.
‘The latest is that he had his medical this morning,’ Koeman told reporters at Finch Farm. ‘The doctor said "no problem". I don’t know if still he needs to sign but I saw him in the blue.’
Koeman, who earlier in the window lost striker Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United for £75m, hailed the arrival of attacking midfielder Sigurdsson, who will become Everton’s most expensive player.
