Swansea City will sign Tammy Abraham on season-long loan from Chelsea this week after beating Newcastle in the race to land the striker.
The paperwork on the deal is not yet finalised, but Swansea are confident there will be no hitches in their recruitment of a talent who scored 23 goals on loan at Bristol City last season.
The 19-year-old, who is currently with the England Under 21 side at the European Championships, is familiar with Paul Clement owing to the Swansea’s managers time coaching across the youth and senior teams at Chelsea.
His arrival will tick one of two major boxes for Swansea this summer, with the club prioritising a striker and central midfielder.
