Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admits 'Chelsea game ruined my Christmas'

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is looking for a New Year lift at Swansea after a Boxing Day battering at Stamford Bridge spoiled his Christmas.

The Cherries went down 3-0 to Premier League leaders Chelsea and Howe admits it prevented him fully embracing his family's festivities.

Bournemouth may be more optimistic about Saturday's fixture against managerless and struggling Swansea. Howe, whose side could start 2017 in the top half with victory, is eyeing a return to better spirits at the Liberty Stadium.
