Bournemouth took a big step towards the Championship play-offs after a superb Philip Billing volley helped them beat third-placed Swansea 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Cherries midfielder Billing opened the scoring less than ten minutes in with a stunning acrobatic volley from Arnaut Danjuma's cross, before Dominic Solanke diverted Danjuma's corner in off Joel Latibeaudiere in first-half stoppage time.
High flyers Swansea struggled to impose themselves and after Danjuma added a third late on, Jonathan Woodgate's side held firm to secure a crucial victory which sees them remain in seventh, but now only two points off sixth-placed Barnsley.
