Barnsley and Wolves remain keen on Chester defender Sam Hughes despite non-league side rejecting January bid from the Tykes

Barnsley and Wolves are continuing to monitor Chester centre-back Sam Hughes.

Chester rejected a bid of around £75,000 plus add-ons from Barnsley in January for the 19-year-old and the Oakwell club are keen to try again in the summer.

Crystal Palace, Swansea and Fulham have also sent scouts to check on Hughes who is out of contract in the summer yet would still command a fee at a tribunal.
