Premier League strugglers Swansea City are hoping to boost their survival chances by releasing Aleix Vidal from his Barcelona nightmare.
Right-back Vidal, 27, played in Barca's 7-0 Copa del Rey hammering of Hercules on Tuesday, setting up Arda Turan for the team's fourth goal and Turan's first in an eventual hat-trick.
However it was his first appearance for the club since the Champions League dead rubber against Borussia Monchengladbach.
He has played just one La Liga game this season - Barca's embarrassing 2-1 home defeat by newly promoted Alaves - and has rarely even featured in manager Luis Enrique's matchday squad in recent weeks.
