Darron Gibson has to leave Sunderland unless he can apologise to the players he has publicly shamed, according to former Premier League goalkeeper Mark Bosnich.

The Republic of Ireland midfielder was filmed venting his anger during a drunken night out after the Black Cats succumbed to a dismal 5-0 pre-season debate to Scottish champions Celtic.

During his foul-mouthed tirade the ex-Manchester United and Everton man expressed his outrage about certain team-mates not wanting to be at the club – with the likes of Lamine Kone, Jeremain Lens and Wahbi Khazri coming in for criticism.
