Swansea stadium to be repaired before Sunderland

Swansea City say there are no concerns over next Saturday's home game against Sunderland going ahead despite storm damage at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Ospreys, who share the stadium with the Swans, were forced to move Sunday's fixture against Lions to Parc y Scarlets as a result of damage to the East Stand roof caused by Storm Darragh.

But Swansea say repair work will be completed before their Championship meeting with the Black Cats.

"The Swansea.com Stadium has incurred roof damage caused by Storm Darragh," said the club's operations manager Jamie Gibbons.

"A section of the roof in the East Stand, which overhangs the pitch, has blown away, leaving a hole in the sheeting.
