Sunderland midfielder Pierre Ekwah has joined French club St Etienne on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old moved to the Stadium of Light on a four-and-a-half-year deal from West Ham in January 2023 and has made 61 appearances for the Black Cats, scoring five times.

St Etienne have the option of signing the former France Under-20 international on a permanent basis at the conclusion of Ekwah's loan deal.
