Sunderland outcast Jeremain Lens is on the verge of a controversial switch to Turkish champions Besiktas, according to reports.
The 29-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Besiktas' fierce rivals Fenerbahce, is set for a return to Istanbul ahead of next term.
According to reports in Turkey, Lens is ready to sign a three-year deal with Besiktas and will undergo a medical within the coming days before an official announcement is made.
The Netherlands international was arguably Fenerbahce's player of the year last term, netting five times in an overall disappointing campaign for the club.
