Sunderland have revealed that takeover negotiations with potential new owners have come to an end without a deal being agreed.
The Black Cats, who are preparing for life in the Championship following relegation last season, had been in discussions with at least two separate parties over a possible transfer of power at the Stadium of Light.
A German consortium and another led by Fulwell 73 Productions owners Leo Pearlman, Gabe Turner and Ben Turner had been in talks.
However, earlier this week the Fulwell 73 group withdrew their interest and, on Thursday, the club confirmed that no sale will be forthcoming.
