Sunderland star Corry Evans was knocked out cold in a horrific head collision at Wycombe on Saturday.
The 31-year-old midfielder crashed into a team-mate in the second-half of Saturday's League One encounter.
And after receiving lengthy medical treatment on the field, including oxygen, Black Cats skipper Evans was carried off on a stretcher.
Evans, is the younger brother of Leicester star Jonny, and joined Sunderland on a free transfer from Blackburn in the summer.
Speaking after the game, Sunderland boss Lee Johnson said he was relieved to hear that Evans had avoided serious injury.
