Sunderland owner Stewart Donald has agreed a deal to sell the club to a consortium that is led by minority shareholder Juan Sartori and 22-year-old Kyril Louis-Dreyfus.
Donald will still retain a 15 per cent stake in the League One club.
Donald has been looking to sell the club all year. Sartori, meanwhile, currently holds a 20 per cent stake at the Stadium of Light.
Louis-Dreyfus is the son of the former Marseille owner, Robert.
