Sunderland midfielder Jack Rodwell has gone on trial at Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem.
The England international has no future at Sunderland after they held discussions about ripping up his contract.
Rodwell, who has been training on his own, earns £70,000 per week in the Championship and has 18 months left on his five year contract.
