Sunderland manager David Moyes questions commitment of his players as he faces injury crisis for visit to Premier League champions Chelsea

David Moyes has questioned the commitment of some of his Sunderland players and believes they have ducked out of Sunday’s season finale at Chelsea.

The Black Cats boss is without 11 players for the trip to the champions after revealing that Wahbi Khazri (sore knee), Papy Djilobodji (sore thigh), Didier Ndong (dead leg) and Lamine Kone (dead leg) have joined a list of injuries which also includes Jason Denayer (thigh), Victor Anichebe (hamstring) and George Honeyman (back).

Duncan Watmore, Jan Kirchhoff, Paddy McNair and Steven Pienaar have long-term problems.

Moyes said: ‘I would have hoped some would have pulled through and rolled their sleeves up, knowing that we’re in a difficult situation and shown that they’re committed to trying to find a way of playing.
