Sunderland are leading the race to sign Scunthorpe United's highly-rated winger Hakeeb Adelakun.
Scunthorpe want Adelakun to sign a new deal at Glanford Park and are demanding £1million for the 21-year-old player who will be available for a nominal compensation fee when his contract runs out at the end of the season.
Sunderland boss Chris Coleman is keen to add depth to his squad with a relegation scrap in the Championship on his hands and following Duncan Watmore's serious knee injury.
But Hull City and Barnsley have also shown an interest, while Premier League side Crystal Palace – where Adelakun started out in the academy – are also understood to be keeping tabs on the situation.
