Besiktas are hoping to land Sunderland outcast Jeremain Lens on a permanent deal this summer.
The midfielder was sent on a season-long loan to Fenerbahce in August and has played 21 times in the Super Lig since.
Meanwhile, back in England, Sunderland have suffered a miserable season and have been relegated from the Premier League.
It is highly unlikely that Lens will return to the north east and be reintegrated to the first team this summer so a permanent departure seems most likely.
Fenerbahce are said to be keen on keeping the 29-year-old on a long-term basis and it has even been reported they have an agreement for a second season loan.
