Sunderland are considering a £8m move for Valencia winger Rodrigo.
The former Real Madrid and Benfica attacker, 25, had a spell on loan at Bolton.
Valencia themselves should be busy today. Agent Jorge Mendes held a meeting with club officials yesterday and Eliaquim Mangala is an option at centre back, along with Zenit's Ezequiel Garay.
Mangala was considered last summer as part of the deal that took Nicolas Otamendi to Manchester City from Valencia.
