Sunderland have completed a loan move for Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria and plan to finalise a deal for Leeds goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.

Chris Coleman is desperate for reinforcements on deadline day having watched his side slump to a 3-1 defeat at relegation rivals Birmingham on Tuesday night.

The Sunderland manager wants to add a striker, with Swansea’s Ollie McBurnie a potential target, and he expects to be busy working on transfers until the close of the window.
