Jobe Bellingham scored both goals as Sunderland came from behind to earn their first Championship win of the season against Rotherham.
The 17-year-old summer arrival from Birmingham netted his first Black Cats goals in front of more than 40,000 at the Stadium of Light.
Hakeem Odoffin had driven the visitors ahead with their first attempt after 20 minutes but Bellingham headed an almost instant equaliser and then stroked home the winner early in the second half.
The Millers are now winless in 15 away games and remain without a victory on Wearside since 1959.
Sunderland began the brighter but Rotherham grew into the game and some intricate passing down the right led to Oli Rathbone finding Odoffin in the box to drive an angled shot under Anthony Patterson for his second goal in as many games.
