Sunderland suffered their first defeat of the season as Leeds United's Samuel Saiz made the most of his side's striker shortage to score and assist in a 2-0 win.
Leeds were rocked pre-kickoff by Chris Wood ruling himself out as he closes in on a £15million move to Burnley.
Things got worse for the Whites when Pablo Hernandez and Caleb Ekuban limped off injured.
But Saiz did the business, nailing a neat two-touch finish after being teed up by Ezgjan Alioski in the first half.
