Sunderland 0-2 Leeds: Samuel Saiz shines in Chris Wood's absense as goal and assist silences Stadium of Light and ends home side's unbeaten start

Sunderland suffered their first defeat of the season as Leeds United's Samuel Saiz made the most of his side's striker shortage to score and assist in a 2-0 win.

Leeds were rocked pre-kickoff by Chris Wood ruling himself out as he closes in on a £15million move to Burnley.

Things got worse for the Whites when Pablo Hernandez and Caleb Ekuban limped off injured.
