Sunderland have sacked Simon Grayson as manager following the club's catastrophic start to the Championship season.
Grayson who took over from David Moyes following the North East side's relegation from the Premier League in the summer has picked up just one victory from 15 league games.
A 3-3 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Stadium of Light left saw Sunderland equal a record of 19 home games without a win in all competitions, and third from bottom in the table.
