Real Madrid have sent Sunderland winger Duncan Watmore a letter wishing him the best as he recovers from his knee injury.
The classy gesture follows Watmore's devastating anterior cruciate ligament injury last month during the Black Cats' home draw against Millwall in the Championship.
The 22-year-old was playing in only his sixth game back after eight months out from another cruciate injury in the same knee.

Watmore suffered the most recent injury after a Millwall player fell on top of him and had exploratory surgery at the end of last month.
