Northumbria Police have launched an investigation to track down a Sunderland fan who mocked the late Gary Speed's death with a vile social media post.
The post was shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, shortly after Newcastle beat Sunderland 3-0 in the FA Cup at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
'We may have lost today, but at least we didn't hang ourselves for being gay', it read.
