Papy Djilobodji insists he 'never had a chance' despite doing 'all that needs to be done' at Chelsea

He may be struggling in a Sunderland side that are at languishing near the bottom of the Premier League table, but Papy Djilobodji believes he could have made the grade at Chelsea.

Djilobodji signed for the North-East side for £8m this summer, earning Chelsea a profit of almost £6m, despite him only playing a matter of seconds in his year with the London club.

And although he has been under-performing in a Sunderland side that have recorded just one point so far this season, and made a disastrous error in the defeat by Tottenham on Sunday, the Senagalese defender believes he was poorly treated by Chelsea.
