Nottingham Forest boss Mark Warburton is plotting a summer raid on former club Rangers for striker Martyn Waghorn.
Forest are among a cluster of English clubs on the trail of Waghorn, a former England Under-21 international who is about to enter the final year of his contract at Ibrox.
Leeds, Huddersfield and Sunderland are also interested in the 27-year-old who has scored 43 goals in 67 games since moving to Scotland from Wigan, two years ago.
He started for Rangers in a 4-0 win at home to Hamilton on Saturday and was on target from the penalty spot.
