Manchester United agree a £250,000 deal for Sunderland's impressive 16-year-old striker Joe Hugill

Manchester United have agreed a £250,000 deal with Sunderland for teenage striker Joe Hugill.

The 16-year old is an old fashioned style centre forward and is seen as one who could develop and give United’s youth ranks a different dimension.

United have been keen to tie up a deal since March and Hugill has a decent goal scoring record at U18 level which prompted a promotion to Sunderland’s U23s earlier this year.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to bring in young talent to develop into his first-team plans

Hugill however will have to wait to ratify his move as lockdown restrictions mean he will be unable to complete the relevant medical just yet.
