Paddy McNair has revealed that he forced his way out of Manchester United by issuing boss Jose Mourinho with a transfer ultimatum.
McNair joined the Old Trafford youth system as a teenager and was handed his senior debut in September 2014. He made 18 appearances in that breakthrough campaign but that would represent the high water mark of his United career.
Following a season further down the pecking order and Mourinho's arrival at the club, McNair was at a crossroads last summer.

Mourinho was eager for McNair to stay and develop on loan elsewhere.
