Jordan Henderson facing uncertainty over his Liverpool future as talks with long-serving captain over a new contract 'fail to make progress'... with 'PSG and Atletico Madrid keen to swoop as the door opens for an exit'

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson's future at the club is clouded in uncertainty with no 'real' progress made over a new deal, according to reports.

Henderson, who has been at Anfield since joining from Sunderland in 2011, has entered talks over a contract extension with his terms set to run down in 2023.

But The Athletic claim that the discussions have so far failed to reach an agreement, and the situation has been described as 'complicated' and 'sensitive'.

It has been stressed, however, that both parties remain in contact, as they have been across this summer, and the talks have not broken down.
