Jeremain Lens joins Fenerbahce from Sunderland on season-long loan

Fenerbahce have completed the signing of Jeremain Lens from Sunderland on a season-long loan.

Lens, 28, joined Sunderland in an £8 million transfer from Dinamo Kiev just over 12 months ago, but made only 14 Premier League starts since then.

The forward revealed he would have a medical on Tuesday ahead of joining Fenerbahce, and the Turkish club have now confirmed news of the transfer.

The move brings to an end an unhappy time at Sunderland for Lens, who found himself marginalised under Sam Allardyce.

He came off the bench in the 1-1 draw at Southampton on Saturday and provided the cross that led to Jermain Defoe's goal, but failed to start a game under new Black Cats boss David Moyes.
