Sunderland have been linked with a move for Torino full-back Davide Zappacosta.
Manager David Moyes has already landed centre-half Papy Djiobodji from Chelsea and is now in the market for further defensive reinforcements.
And, according to Gazza Mercato, Zappacosta is high on his list.
The 24-year-old is a one-time target for Swansea but Torino are not keen on selling him this summer, having only landed him from Atalanta last summer.
But Sunderland are expected to test their resolve to hold on to him with a bid in the next few days, according to reports.
