Burton Albion 0-2 Sunderland: Black Cats' seal first victory in 17 games as Chris Coleman's side climb off bottom of the Championship table

Sunderland moved off the bottom of the Championship after ending a three-month winless streak to see off fellow strugglers Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.

James Vaugahn and George Honeyman struck inside the final six minutes for the Black Cats who were playing under new boss Chris Coleman for just the second time.

Although Sunderland remain inside the bottom three, the win was a crucial one as they now go level on points with Burton, while Bolton Wanderers drop to the foot of the table.
