Rival players, officials and fans took part in a minute's applause in memory of six-year-old Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery, who died hours before the pre-season friendly on Friday night.
League One side Bury also pledged to donate the gate receipts from the match at Gigg Lane to the youngster's Bradley Fight charity.
A tweet read: “The Chairman has confirmed that all gate receipts for this evening’s game will go to the @BradleysFight charity.”


The schoolboy passed away in his parents' arms on Friday after battling neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer.
