Chris Coleman lost his first game as Sunderland boss on Tuesday as the Championship's bottom failed to win for a 16th straight league match.

The former Wales manager watched his new team fall behind after just 10 minutes when Aston Villa's Albert Adomah bagged his ninth goal of the season.

Joshua Onomah doubled Villa's advantage early in the second half before Lewis Grabban pulled one back.
