SUNDERLAND, England -- Three points from Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
1. Arsenal hit back after brief scare
Sunderland stayed helplessly mired to the bottom of the Premier League as their dreadful season plumbed new depths, against an Arsenal side who had Olivier Giroud's introduction to thank for turning the game around.
Giroud clearly enjoys playing against Sunderland. His two goals here made it seven goals in seven matches against such downbeat opponents. The Frenchman, on as a second half substitute, scored twice, in the 71st and 76th minute, to remind that Alexis Sanchez has quality backup as Arsenal's frontline striker.
