ARLINGTON, Texas -- UTA director of golf Stuart Deane is set to compete against the world's greatest golfers this week at the 99th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C.
Deane, a native of Brisbane, Australia, qualified for the prestigious championship by finishing among the low 20 scorers at the PGA Professional Championship last month in Oregon. The event will mark his second appearance at the PGA Championships and his 12th PGA event overall. Deane played in the 2014 event at Valhalla Golf Club in Kentucky.
He is scheduled to arrive in Charlotte today and play practice rounds at Quail Hollow Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
