BROOKLYN, N.Y. – With the 57th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, UTA senior forward Kevin Hervey was selected by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Hervey is the 79th Sun Belt Conference player from its current membership drafted and the first since Georgia State’s R.J. Hunter was selected in the first round (28th overall) by the Boston Celtics in the 2015 NBA Draft.
Hervey, a native of Arlington, Texas, is the fourth UTA player ever selected in the draft and the first since the NBA reduced the number of rounds to just two in 1989.
