MOBILE, Ala. - The UTA mavericks claimed the 2018 Sun Belt Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Mobile, Ala., scoring 66 points to take the team title. It was the fourth men's cross country title for UTA since joining the league.

Coastal Carolina's Nadeel Wildschutt successfully defended his individual title in 2018 as the sophomore edged out runner-up and his brother, Adriaan Wildschutt, by under a second, with a time of 24:05.71. Nadeel Wildschutt becomes the first back-to-back winner in the event since 2007 (South Alabama's Vincent Rono).
